It was definitely uncool to Manny. But he is getting a big buy out and is a good young coach with a great marketing personality. Hopefully he does the Alabama consulting thing or something similar and gets another chance soon. He deserves it.

But as for Miami, actually think this turned out okay. They had a decent coach - their crazy fan base hated him but he was decent - and they only wanted to fire him if they could upgrade with Mario. I like that move a lot better than firing a decent coach only to end up with your fifth or sixth choice. That happens a lot in coaching searches. It took longer than they expected, But that's going to play out in their favor too as well. Now Oregon is going to lose their top recruits and there won't be enough time for the new coach to keep them. Watch how many four and five stars signed with Miami in the next two weeks.
